Turn an AI-built map into a product captains will use.
Digital Captain. A Lovable prototype with a real customer. Verification, not a social feed.
The venture
A working product existed in Lovable: a map for logging anchorages and local knowledge. The venture question was whether professional captains would trust it, use it, and keep contributing.
What we did
We helped turn the prototype into a venture with a sharp customer: Captains and Officers over 500GT. Verification is the front door. The map is the product. Each logged spot and note is meant to compound into a shared operational reference — one place, built by the people who use it.
The problems
The knowledge was already there. It was not in one place.
Cruising intelligence lived in WhatsApp groups, saved pins, KMZ files and notebooks. When a captain needed it, it was rarely where they left it.
An open map would have filled with noise.
The product only works if every note comes from qualified bridge crew. Without a gate, it becomes a social feed.
A Lovable build is not a business.
Who it is for, who gets in, and why they come back had to be obvious. Otherwise it stays a prototype.
What that meant for the venture
- A live product with a closed professional network
- Sign-up that starts with a Certificate of Competency
- Locations, notes and planning in one map
- A venture a founder can explain: shared cruising intelligence for professional crew
